Singles burgess hill
Nathan then played 2 weighted shots to sit out the shot bowl but with the wind dying off was slightly wide but what it did do was take out Williams closest bowls and Smith now had the next 3 after the shot.
Anthony Williams tried to cover a kitty movement wide and they swapped over for the last time in the day. Knott had no choice but to try and draw and was slightly wide.
Section 30 was interesting in that the section winning team only won 1 game, but with 2 draws the team of Craig Stokes and Chris Booth progress.
Brad Ball who is white hot at the moment with Russell Bates won all 3, and in the bottom section the massive section favourites Justin Opie and Beau Manton lost their game against Allan Barron and Shane Loftus, that combination playing tomorrow.
Scott commences his singles matches next Wednesday at 6pm, they should be live on youtube, I will post the link when known to all readers of this site.
He played weight to remove the shot but it was narrow, and the title was the Smiths.
It was an awesome game of bowls, all 4 bowlers can hold their head high with the quality of the game, draw shots, weighted and drives, well done to them.
I'm pretty sure you will be able to watch the replay on the Bowls WA Facebook page in due course, it is well worth a view to see some quality bowls.
About 150 viewers at its peak, a good turnout really.
But all kudos goes to the winners, Aaron Smith from York and brother Nathan now playing at Bassendean. Reigning champions Shane Knott and Anthony Williams looked down and out when behind 15-5 but they got an end, went short and slowly pegged it back shot by shot, a couple of 3's to get to 14-15 before the Smiths got the shot, score now 16-14 to them.
